Just weeks before the retreat, I sat staring at my laptop, heart sinking as I refreshed the sign-ups. Two. Only two. After months of refining my vision, investing in marketing, and believing in this experience, I questioned if I had taken on too much. Doubt crept in, and I even considered postponing. But deep down, I knew—this retreat was meant to be an ultimate reset, not just for the women attending, but for me as well.

What I didn’t realize then was that every challenge was leading me toward clarity. I had forgotten to go inward, to reconnect with my purpose. It took weeks of deep reflection, reading, writing, and trusting in the unseen to finally understand: this journey wasn’t just about numbers; it was about impact. And in the end, the perfect group found its way to GRLTalk.

After a scenic, one-and-a-half-hour drive along the Pacific coast with my husband and son, I found myself stepping into what felt like a hidden paradise—an eco-resort in Mizata, El Salvador.  From the smiles that greeted us with the sweetest energy, to the scent and sound of the ocean, I knew I had arrived at a magical escape - this first evening really set the tone to a memorable experience.

The next morning, I woke up very early, excited to truly unwind and participate in a morning Yoga class. And there it was - the most magnificent sunrise, paired with waves gently crashing against the rocky landscape and birds chirping. I was reminded of a  mantra close to my heart: “Be like water”—gentle yet powerful, adaptable yet full of strength.
